This is really nice. It is bigger than mine at home. The white boarder on the frame is also a nice touch to let the pictures stand out. The resolution is also really good. I don’t think the price would have dropped if the resolution was higher. This thing does not look cheap if you’re worried about how it looks up close. It really looks good & classy. Ding’d the features because it would be so practical to have alarms with a calendar and clock. Ding’d a star on picture quality because there are simply digital frames out there with higher resolution quality. Great buy for a 10 inch with extra features like internal memory at this reduced price. Enjoy! Read more...

I bought this a Christmas present for my mum, then purchased three more for gifts to members of our family. The picture quality is excellent and it’s very easy to use. I really wanted the 10″ frame but the jump in price from 7″ to 10″ (currently at almost £250) is completely unjustified. Overall – highly recommended.

After a lot of searching, and knowing that NONE of the frames in the market is really “clean”, here’s what happened here: We got it, liked the display quality (bright, very good resolution, nice frame) when we plugged in a flash memory card directly from a camera. However, when we tried to load (using its own USB interface and built in software) more photos and music, we ran into problems with “not enough space” messages, corrupted files that were uploaded, etc. But there’s a solution, albeit not from the non-responding company support line and the empty (!) knowledge base on their web site. It turns out you need to erase and reformat your flash drive as a FAT32 directory format (not FAT16, not old FAT). You can do that if you have one of those cheap general purpose multi-style flash card USB gadgets. I have 2 or 3 of those, I know I got some of them as a free gift so they must be cheap. On a Windows system, right-click the flash drive and select Format, with a FAT32 directory. On a MAC OS X use the disk utility to erase the drive, and it will format with the desired FAT32. Then, what we did is collect all the files we wanted in a folder, and when we had all of them we copied and pasted all the files at once to the drive. Worked beautifully on Compact flash and SD drives that we tried. I have a feeling that to add anything more, we’ll have to re-erase and copy-paste, so we are keeping the content directory on the computer for now…. It was a nice challenge, but the frame works well now. Read more...

I just bought this product through [...] and it arrived in short order. As others have pointed out, the manual instructions are not the greatest, but after a little while I was able to figure it out. I managed to upload several pics from my camera by inserting the memory card and copying over the pics to the internal memory (yes, it did have internal memory), then added more pics from my computer using the USB mini port and also copied over a few music files. Great news, the slideshow did play w/ music, you have to set the music to play on the music set up menu. Read more...

I’m not technically savvy, and I was thrilled at how easy it was to load photos onto this frame and ship it off as a gift to my Mom. She opened it while on the phone with me, I had her plug it in and turn it on, and the phone went silent…”Mom? Ma, are you there?” She was weeping with joy as pictures she hadn’t seen in years appeared in gorgeous clarity on the screen before her. You can load directly from your PC or to several types of inexpensive memory cards. Experiment with 5 or 6 photos first to get your orientation right. The remote is small and not completely reliable, but you shouldn’t need it for much once your picture show is running. Biggest surprise: the gloss-black frame was a huge advantage over other frames that contrast with the viewing area. If most of your photos are vertical, but you slip in a few horizontal, you’ll have bands of black above and below the horizontal pic (or vice versa, if most of your images are horizontal). Some frames contrast with the black stripes, making for a choppy look. On this frame, the dead space around some pics blends seamlessly into the glossy black frame, making every picture look great. We’re buying 2 more for home and office! Read more...
